The Magic of Savings at GMFCU

We are really excited to announce our new Youth Program! The Magic of Savings is at Greenwood Municipal FCU!! Our Youth Program consists of the Discovery Club (ages 0-9), the Adventure Club (ages 10-13), and the Explorer Club (ages 14-17). There’s also an opportunity for Youth Checking Accounts and Youth Certificates of Deposit. Where else could you open a youth savings account starting at $5.00?

Our Youth can also earn great prizes for every 10th deposit made to their savings account. (Reward cards available at credit union.)

Also, check out our new Googolplex link on our website. This program features interactive games, videos, and colorful stories dealing with money matters and life issues. Each googolplex site lures a specific age group:

5- Spot for elementary schoolers, AJ’s for middle schoolers, and C-Note for high schoolers.

In AJ’s, they have developments for a teenage comic series teaching money management, write notes to their friends using a note posting feature, and build their own super- hero identities using the flashy new “ League of Heroes” theme.

In C-Note, students have a chance to win and save money by entering photo contests, reach out to others using a moderated comment feature and blog posts, and view entertaining student created videos that provide financial lessons.
